آزادی تنها این نیست که بانوان پوست تن را بی هیچ حجابی به بوسه آفتاب کنار دریای خزر و خلیج پارس بسپارند
آزادی تنها این نیست که پسركى لب دخترکی را
از سر شوق ناگهان در پیش چشم مردم ببوسد

آزادی این است که نه تو به نیمه عریان بودن
ديگرى کار داشته باشی نه او به حجاب تو
آزادی این است که نه من به میگساری تو کار داشته باشم نه تو به نماز شب من
آزادی این است که نه تو به بی خدایی من کار داشته باشی نه من به خدا داری تو
آزادی این است که نه، تو به زور در پی نوشاندن
شربت کوثر به من باشی، و نه من به زور در پی بخشیدن لذت شراب به تو
آزادی این است که نه دین تو بر من حکم براند نه من تو را بی دین بخواهم
آزادی این است که نه تو مرا با بی دینی من تکفیر کنی
و نه من تو را با دین تو تحقیر...
